Insurance Packages

THIRD PARTY INSURANCE
All authorized drivers of Alpha Rentals vehicles are covered against damages from Fire to the rented vehicle, and Liability Insurance to Third Party death, injury, and property. Both coverages are subject to General Terms of the Alpha Rentals insurance as it is mandatory by Greek Law.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) & THEFT PROTECTION (TP)
CDW and TP insurances are included on all rentals, with no additional costs.
Collision Damage Cover (CDW) is designed for accidental damage caused to the vehicle and includes the cost of repairing or replacing the vehicle towing, storage charges, loss of use and administrative costs, but with an excess payable (check below)
Theft Protection (TP) covers the renter for total or partial loss of the vehicle, but with an excess payable. Valid for Skiathos-Skopelos areas only.
C.D.W & T.P. covers the renter, limiting his liability to the following excess amounts:
Rates & Excess Amounts per Car Group (driver’s age group 25-75)
€500.00 for car groups A, B, C1-2,
€900.00 for car groups C3-4-5, D, E, F, G, and
€1250.00 for car groups J, K
*All above-mentioned charges are subject to vat.

Rates & Excess Amounts per Scooter/ATV’s Groups (driver’s age group 25-75)
A) €350,00 (400,00 for Volos city) for Moto groups: 50cc-150cc
B) €500,00 (600,00 for Volos city) for Moto & ATV groups: 200cc-400cc
C) €900,00 (1200,00 for Volos city) for ATV groups: 450cc-650cc

SUPER COVER INSURANCE (SCI)
Also known as: Excess Reduction or SCDW
When choosing to include SCI, Alpha – Rentals reduces the renter’s  responsibilities for damage or Loss of the vehicle  to ZERO excess amount (NO self risk).
Zero (0) Excess is only applicable for 25-75 age groups.

FERRY BOAT INSURANCE  (FBI)
This extra cost provides insurance extension for Alpha – Rentals vehicles to travel to the islands of Skiathos or Skopelos or Alonissos. Also, you are covered for road assistance or damages done while the Alpha – Rentals vehicle was on board by choosing to pay a daily amount of 2.00 Euros – 5.00 Euros depending the rental period & type of the motorbike/ATV.

NO INSURANCE WILL COVER
-The vehicle on board ship, without the charge of extra ferry insurance
-Any accidents resulting from alcohol or drug abuse
-Damages caused to the vehicle because of off road driving (excluded Enduro & ATV)
-For damages to the undercarriage of the vehicle, tires
-For accidents that take place when a driver not declared on the Rental Agreement.

In the event of an accident according to Article K70 of the Greek law, the customer is obliged to complete an accident report, regardless of his liability. The cost of the exhibition is 50.00 euros.
